About this class

ESOL classes available from pre-entry to L1 in Reading, Writing and S&L. Classes take place twice a week, 2.5 hours each, for 12 weeks.

Wakefield College

Wakefield College offer:

  •   16-19 provision (all levels, all skills – full time course, including maths and digital skills) September and January enrolment.
  •  Adult day time classes, morning and afternoon (Pre-Entry to Level 1, all skills) 18 weeks for reading and writing :32 weeks for speaking and listening.
  • Adult evening classes: Thursdays (Entry 1 to Level 1, reading and writing) 18 weeks.
  • Adult ESOL progression pathway to Functional Skills and GCSE (18 weeks for Functional Skills; 32 for GCSE).
  • Adult ESOL Digital Skills (Entry 3 and Level 1) 18 weeks.
  • Adult Maths (Entry 3, Level 1, Level 2, and GCSE) 18 weeks for Functional Skills; 32 for GCSE.

At Castleford College:

  • Adult speaking and listening (Entry 1 to Entry 3) 32 weeks for speaking and listening.
  • Adult reading or writing (Entry 1 to Entry 3) 18 weeks for reading and writing.
  • Adult ESOL progression pathway to Functional Skills and GCSE (18 weeks for Functional Skills; 32 for GCSE).

At Selby College:

  • Adult reading or writing (Entry 1 to Entry 3) 18 weeks for reading and writing.

All learners will be assessed and enrolled by a member of the ESOL department.
