About this class
This is an English reading course for speakers of other languages (ESOL) and aims to improve confidence and develop specific reading and understanding skills used in everyday life. Open to any learner from Entry to Entry 3 level, learners will learn to read and understand simple texts relevant to everyday life; use basic punctuation to aid understanding; read and obtain information from signs, pictures, and written text. learners may also learn to read and respond to more formal texts. As well as learning the core vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking and listening skills, by working independently and in small groups with your tutor, you will also develop wider skills such as: ● Problem solving ● Team working ● Communication skills ● Study skills. ● Use Online dictionary/translator/calendar.
