ESOL Entry Writing for Everyday Life Course
About this class
This is an English writing course for speakers of other languages (ESOL) and aims to improve confidence and develop specific writing skills used in everyday life. Open to learners from Entry to Entry 3 level, learners will learn how to use basic punctuation e.g., full stops, question marks and capital letters; basic grammar to aid writing e.g., subject verb agreement, adjectives, and simple conjunctions; spelling strategies and handwriting skills to produce legible handwritten text. As well as learning the core vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking and listening skills, by working independently and in small groups with your tutor, you will also develop wider skills such as: ● Problem solving ● Team working ● Communication skills ● Study skills. ● Use an online dictionary/translator to look up unfamiliar words.
