About this class
Join us for fun, friendly and welcoming sessions, using creativity to explore and make live and digital productions throughout the year. Launched in September 2021, this is the first group of its kind in the UK and invites children and young people aged 0-15* to develop a wide range of creative skills, learn English and make new friends. We are currently running this group in Sheffield in partnership with The Montgomery Theatre and in Oldham with Oldham Coliseum. Sessions are free to join, we cover all travel expenses, provide interpreters and enjoy a meal together. *Babies and children aged 0-5 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Stand & Be Counted is the UK’s first and leading Theatre Company of Sanctuary, committed to making work with and for people seeking sanctuary (refugees, asylum seekers and migrants). We proudly sit at the intersection of arts, culture & social activism. Through a rigorous and adventurous co-creation programme we provide thousands of people seeking sanctuary with regular, long-term creative opportunities to learn English, make friends, and build confidence and community.
